Feeder Guard™ Integrity
Elders has contracted AUS-MEAT Limited to provide third party verification services (auditing) to Feeder Guard™. To this end, Elders is required to implement an auditable system to maintain control of Feeder Guard™ as a program administered by Elders. In addition to the systems audit of Elders administration a random sample group of Feeder Guard members will be audited to verify and demonstrate that the integrity of the Feeder Guard™ program is maintained
AUS-MEAT provides certification to the elders system only and not to individual Feeder Guard™ members. It is the responsibility of Elders to interact with members and feedlots to ensure the ongoing integrity of the program.
The audit scope does not address commercial arrangements between feeder Guard members and Elders or participating feedlots.
Feeder Guard™ Structure
The Feeder Guard™ program is owned and operated by Elders.
Membership is available to clients who agree to follow a prescribed protocol, with application made by completing the Feeder Guard™ Registration form. Participating feedlots will communicate with Elders to ratify the status of cattle that are subject to premiums.
AUS-MEAT as the contracted certification body will communicate directly with Elders and Feeder Guard program members at audit.
